• How is a salt cave operated? What are the rules of conduct?

  What is a public session vs. a private session?  Depending on the size of the salt cave you will visit, we can accommodate up to a crtain number of people in each public or private session. When you schedule a public session you will be in the salt cave with other people (you may not know). You may schedule a private session by “buying out the cave” and have the entire room just for you and your party, which may include children.

  What should I wear? One should dress in comfortable attire which would be appropriate for a public place. You may not wear shoes inside the Salt Cave. We provide shoe/foot covers or you can bring fresh, clean white socks. We recommend not wearing perfumes or colognes before or during the therapy as other visitors may be allergic to them, and the salt will absorb the smells and the cave will smell strange in the future.

  Can I bring a child with me?  There is no age limit for Salt Therapy. However, children below 2.5 should stay inside the cave no more than 10 minutes (their lungs capacity is small and they do not need more time). In Changeland salt caves are offered separate sessions for children where they may engage in quiet play. Some caves also offer Theater sessions and Concerts for children. Children must always be accompanied by their parents and reservations are required.

  What is the climate like inside the salt cave room?  The temperature is held between 19 – 21 degrees Celcius (68-72 degrees F) and the humility is maintained between 50-60 percent. If you tend to be cold natured, please feel free to layer up, in all salt caves are also provided comfy blankets.

  Can I read a book in the cave?  You can if you book a private session. Normally though, the lights are dimmed 5 minutes after the start of the session and it is too dark for most to read. Also, during the session, we don’t want to disturb others, with page turning, extra lights, or noises. Some salt cave owners are holding separate sessions for those people who wish to read or move around. Please check the event calendar of your closest salt cave for those days and times.

  Can I bring in food or water during my session? No food or drinks are allowed in the cave.

  Why must I  arrive 15 minutes early?  Normally sessions at Salt caves Changeland begin  exactly on the hour and therefore it is very important that everyone arrive early enough to fill out an intake form and disclaimer, use the restroom (there are two waterfalls inside the salt room) and change their shoes. If you arrive late and the salt therapy session has already started, you cannot take part in that session.

  What is the cancelation policy? In Changeland salt caves, if you need to cancel your appointment please try to give 24 hours notice to the receptio of the salt cave you have made your apointment. In most salt caves Changeland, credit card information is not required to reserve space in a public salt therapy session. However, most caves do require a credit card in order to reserve a private session or special service. When a private session is booked, we often have to turn away other customers for those times. If a client did not provide sufficient cancelation notice (24hours) we would have lost other potential customers.

• Why did we choose to use a water method of delivery to saturate our air?

  After 3 years of research (2004-2007), we concluded that this is the healthier, safer and most effective way for our body to receive the benefits of Halotheray.

  All life forms come from a water and salt concentration called  sole. We find this same concentration in our bodies, in the primal ocean, in the embryonic fluid.

  Without water and salt, we would have no action and no thoughts! Salt and water are necessary for our cells to metabolize through osmosis.

  In al Changeland salt caves Negative ions are generated from the salt water features and the several tons of salt rocks at the ceiling, walls and floor. The two water features help our bodies absorbe higher amounts of ions through respiration.

  It is like in nature: the concentration of negative ions is naturally higher around waterfalls and by the ocean; when water droplets are dispersed, an electrical charge is created. The two water features in our salt caves help to replicate this effect and facilitate/increase the absorption of the negative ions by our bodies. This helps to build up our immune systems and aid in balancing our PH levels.

  Our salt caves contain nothing artificial and does not have any metal or mechanical parts because salt oxidizes and is corrosive to metal parts.

  We take pride in the fact that we are gypsum-free, and use no artificial glues in creating Changeland salt caves. The use of gypsum, plaster and artificial glues/resins give bacteria a place to grow. In such salty environments these materials become bacteria nests, and require expensive and dangerous ultraviolet lamps which must be used between sessions to clean and remove bacteria growth.

• Salt Caves in Hotels, Resorts and Spas: Dos and Don'ts

  Often Hotel / Resort Owners and Managers beleive that the salt cave can be an additional ‘component’ of the SPA. Based on our experience and doctors’ opinions below please find Changeland’s view on the subject:

  a. It is recommended that Salt Cave Guests, when they complete their halo therapy session, they are exposed neither to any other SPA facilities nor to the swimming pool for a couple of hours; the reason is that inside the salt cave, among other positive benefits, the lungs are cleaned and open; therefore they should not inhale any chloral or other chemical substances; hence, if the salt cave is located inside the SPA, the salt cave session should be the last service they receive.

  b. Often Guests prefer to visit the resort’s salt cave (for 30 – 60 minutes) instead of going to the swimming pool or to the beach, especially during the hot hours of the day (because they avoid the heat, strong sun, noise, sand, air, etc.).

  c. The temperature inside the cave is always 19o – 22o Celsius. Guests need to be dressed, otherwise they will feel ‘cold’.

  d. A salt cave can offer a variety of services to people of all ages (always with the clothes on):

  • Halo therapy, Color therapy, Music therapy
  • Shiatsu massage, Reflexology massage, Head massage
  • Children theater (Health and Entertainment), Music concerts, even business meetings and/or family gatherings

  The above services guests normally prefer to receive not inside a SPA environment.

  e. When guests visits the resort’s salt cave for the 1st time, they experience they Unique benefits of Halo therapy, and as a result, they will certainly want to visit the salt cave at least once per day throughout their stay at the resort. This in many cases is not possible if the cave is inside the SPA.

  f. The use of oils/aromas is prohibited inside the cave because the salt will absorb all the smells and after a while the cave will smell bad. Therefore, it is not recommended to consider delivering massage services to undressed guests using oils.

  g. Normally the space inside a SPA is limited. For example, if the room for the salt cave is 28 sq. m. then :

  • If the Model of the salt cave is Changeland then it can host 7 guests per 30 min session or 14 guests per hour or 140 guests per day (10 hours per day).
  • If the Model of the salt cave is Corporate then it can host 7 guests per 45 min session or 93 guests per day (10 hours per day).

  For illustration purposes, if the SPA with the salt cave of 28 sq.m. is at a resort with a capacity of 400 people, and normally these people stay at the resort 7 days and/or long weekends, then the model Corporate will not be able to host enough guests. For such a resort, normally Changeland’s recommendation would be:

  • inside the SPA, to decorate the Relaxation area and/or a Sauna with mineral salt panels
  • do not install a salt cave inside the SPA
  • if the cave’s size is < 40 m2, select a Changeland model
  • if the cave’s size is > 40 m2, select a Corporate model – install either 1 larger cave or 2 smaller caves in different locations.

• ما هو حجم الغرفة الملائم لكهف الملح ؟

  عامة يجب حساب 4,5 متر مربع للشخص الواحد (أي 20 متر مربع تقريبا للأربعة أشخاص أو 50 متر مربع لاثني عشر شخصا). أقل من ذلك قد يؤدي إلى:

  – كمية الهواء لكل شخص لن تكفي لتوليد المفعول الشافي والاسترخاء بطريقة طبيعية

  – الناس سيشعروا وكأنهم في باص (لا يساعد على الاسترخاء)

• كيف يتم بناء كهف ملح كريستالوثيرابي؟

  كهوف ملح كريستالوثيرابي مزينة تماما بالأملاح المعدنية من كاشمير وبولونيا والملح البحري من البحر الميت. الأرضية مغطاة بالملح ومسخنة. شلال ماء ومنجم ملح (سالينا) (محرر أيونات طبيعي) بالإضافة إلى الموسيقى الهادئة والإنارة يساهم على خلق جو مصغر رائع للشفاء. من المثبت علميا أن 45 دقيقة داخل كهف الملح تعادل 3 أيام على شاطئ البحر وأن عشرة جلسات خلال فترة شهر تعادل دورة تجدد واسترخاء  .

  بعد الاتفاق وتوقيع  العقد، نحتاج إلى شهرين على الأكثر لتحضير، تركيب وتسليم كهف الملح (المفتاح باليد) إليكم! مع مواد التسويق، كتيبات الإرشاد، التدريب الخ.

• ما هو الوقت اللازم من أ إلى ي (استقبال أول عملاء كهف الملح)

  في العقد نحن نلتزم بأن نحضر ونسلم كهف الملح الجديد في ظرف شهرين على الأكثر. ومع ذلك، سنفعل جهدنا لنسلمكن الكهف بأسرع وقت ممكن.للعلم فقط: لقد قمنا مؤخرا بتسليم الكهوف التالية في بلدان مختلفة:

  – تكاليف النقل

  – رسوم الامتياز. هي معقولة جدا، وتحتوي على مجموعة غنية جدا من الخدمات وتوفر لك الكثير من المال والوقت.
